STEM Mentoring
Individual instruction in algebra-based General Physics and calculus-based University Physics.
Instruction is available for algebra-based General Physics and calculus-based University Physics, including mechanics, electricity and magnetism, waves, optics, thermodynamics, and introductory modern physics. Support may focus on specific assignments or examinations, difficult prerequisite material, systematic course support, or preparation for a more advanced physics course. In-person sessions are available in Honolulu and on Oʻahu, with online tutoring throughout Hawaiʻi and nationwide.

Instruction is available in the following introductory college and university physics courses:
Introductory mechanics in either algebra-based or calculus-based form, emphasizing physical reasoning, mathematical relationships, graphical interpretation, and structured problem solving.
Electricity and magnetism, waves, and optics, presented at the mathematical level of the student’s course.
Introductory thermal physics and thermodynamics, including energy transfer, thermodynamic processes, ideal-gas behavior, and the interpretation of state variables.
Introductory twentieth-century physics covering the transition from classical ideas to relativity, quantum concepts, atomic structure, and nuclear physics.
